Welcome to Ewenity Farms - A Border Collie Haven

We are a small rescue organization located in southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. The dogs are evaluated when they come into rescue for any temperament and health issues. They are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as dictated by their needs.
 
Being a herding breed, and one of the most intelligent breeds, they require much of the owners attention. Please go to our section, So You Think You want a Border Collie, and read and think about whether you really want a Border Collie. They are not a dog for everyone.

It is our sole purpose and intent to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs, that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, on heartworm and flea/tick preventative, and microchipped.

Rescue Dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human, we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Don't pity a rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness ..................... by your side.

ADOPTION PROCESS

The adoption fee for dogs adopted from Ewenity Farms in most cases is $250.00, however this fee may vary depending on the needs of the dog. The adoption fee for our senior dogs is $150.00.

The adoption process for Ewenity Farms A Border Collie Haven is a follows:

First, you will fill out an adoption application, which in located on the Adoption Application Page. ALL questions must be completed on the application before it will be reviewed.

Your application will be reviewed as soon as possible. This process usually takes a few days. Please remember we have a busy schedule outside of Border Collie rescue. We work full time jobs and compete with our own dogs frequently. Our goal is to match you with the best dog.

If you have shown interest in a specific dog, their needs will also be taken into consideration when we review your application to see if they will fit your lifestyle and home.

Second, if you are approved to adopt the dog the Adoption Contract must be filled out and signed in person before the dog can leave the rescue for it's new home.
