Millie is a true survivor with an amazing will to live every day to the fullest. She has come through both cancer surgery and heartworm treatment like a champ. Millie is a 12-year-old, 30-lb petite cattle dog currently being fostered in Manatee County, FL. She is So. Darn. Cute! She is a feisty, tough and still a working girl. Millie enjoys keeping busy all day long finding and playing with squeaky toys, chasing the vacuum, chewing on knuckle bones, rearranging rugs and dog beds, and, most of all, following her person all over the house. She loves to be with people and will bark to find out where they are. Belly rubs are high on her favorite list. She finds her way around and out of the house like a pro. Millie likes being outside for short periods of time. She is fine with going out twice a day. Car rides are big on her favorite list but she is hesitant going for walks or to new places. Because Millie is blind, she sometimes gets into other dogs’ personal space, but she quickly learns who to stay away from. She would be much happier as an only dog but can live with others. She will bring so much joy to the life of a person willing to accept her just the way she is. As a senior, Millie’s standard adoption donation is $250, but $150 for an adopter 65+ through our Seniors for Seniors program. She is up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped.
